We wanted to thank you for your suggestion to use Decouvertes in France
during our cruise last month.
We had a wonderful guide named Joe that met us in Cannes (after we finally
got to shore, that's another story). Ralph and I had been to the area
several times but we wanted our children to enjoy as much as possible in
such a short period of time.
We got to revisit old places and see new ones that we missed in the past.
The kids couldn't seem to get enough pictures of the area. I think Sarah
said she took almost 600 pictures that day. Joe was really informative of
not only the scenery but of current events, which we found really really
interesting. Everyone enjoyed the stop at Fragonard in Grasse. The
children never saw anything like it. Perfume for everyone! It was so nice
to wander around St. Paul de Vence with Joe showing us unusual nooks. Lunch
at la Colombe d'or was a real treat. The dining area was beautiful.
The next day in Monte Carlo, we were thrilled to see Joe as our guide again.
Since the weather was poor, so was Ralph's knees. So the five us headed to
Eze. I always said I wouldn't do it, but I'm so glad we did. It was
absolutely beautiful and I picked up things in this shops. It was also nice
because there were so few tourists. Joe surprised us with a stop at a candy
shop with a tour of the facility (and lots of samples!). We all agreed that
having a guide like Joe made a miserable weather day great.
We would suggest Decouvertes to anyone that needs a tour in France and we
would use them again when we are there.
