History:
Famous financier John Law was the first known owner of the property. In the 18th century the building housed a trader in coaches, later becoming, in the 19th century, the private townhouse of François-Cyrille de Vouillemont.
He then converted his residence into a luxury hotel known, according to contemporary usage, as a “maison garnie.” Today, Le Faubourg unites these two building and their two histories.
